Assam PAT 2023: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria, Syllabus
Assam PAT 2023 or Assam Polytechnic Admission Test will be conducted in July 2023 by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam. This exam is conducted once every year at the State Level to offer admission in the Polytechnic Diploma courses in several Polytechnic Institutes in Assam State. Assam Polytechnic 2023 Application Form
Assam PAT 2023 Application Form will be available from the month of May. Read the below-given points to know more details about the PAT Registration form.
Candidates are required to apply only through online mode on the official website.
Check complete eligibility criteria before filling the application form.
The applicant is advised to fill the application form earlier without waiting for the last date to avoid last-minute mistakes.
Candidates after completion of the application filling process must take out the printout of the form for further admission process.
Read the instruction given on the application form carefully.
Applicants need to keep their „photograph‟ and „scanned signature‟ ready with them in jpg format (file size should not exceed 100 KB).
Applicants are required to follow the following steps

3. Download the Admit Card
In the Registration, Process the candidate has to fill up the Application form properly. It is mandatory to fill all the fields.
Then they have to upload their photograph & scanned signature and save it.
Once the registration form is saved, a unique application number will be generated for the candidate which will be active throughout the admission process.
Read the instructions carefully and continue, the next step of the application process will take the candidate to the Payment Portal of State Bank.
The last step will be Payment Process and after that form submission process will be completed.
Fee payment can be done through both online and offline mode.
NOTE: If the payment detail is not entered the authority will not be responsible and the form will be considered incomplete and will be rejected. No further request in this regard will be accepted.
Assam PAT 2023 Application Fee
Assam Polytechnic test application fee for PAT Assam is Rs 500/- which is common for all.
Mode of Payment
Candidates can pay the registration fee through both online and offline mode.
Online Payments can be made through Net Banking/ Debit Card / Credit Cards.
Offline payments can be made at any branch of the State Bank of India by printing the generated Bank Challan and deposit the fee amount at any nearby SBI Branch.
Candidates are advised to take printouts of the receipt generated by State Bank Collect, for future reference.
The "State Bank Collect" step will be the last step of the registration and is required to be completed for a successful application process.
Note:
An applicant who has completed the above steps can check their status at any time by using the Applicant Login area.
Payments made/received will be reflected and updated in the applicant login after receiving payment confirmation from Bank usually within 5-7 days.
Assam PAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidate needs to satisfy the Assam PAT eligibility given below before applying:
Age limit:
The candidate must have a minimum of 20 years for the general category.
The candidate must have a minimum of 23 years for SC/ST category.
Education Qualification:
Applicant must have passed the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as a compulsory subject with –
a minimum of 40% marks in Mathematics and Science for General Candidates.
a minimum of 35% marks in Mathematics and Science for Schedule Caste Candidates.
a minimum of 33% marks in Mathematics and Science for Scheduled Tribes Candidates.
For Sports Quota
The applicant must be a medal winner of State Games/ State Championships/ Tournaments
organized by Assam Olympic Association/ State Sports Association/Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam, and will be decided in order of Medals of Gold/Silver/Bronze received.
The medals received by the applicant must be within the period of the last 3 years.
For NCC Quota
Selection of the applicant for the NCC category will be considered in order of merit as per NCC Examination Certificate received from the Commanding Officer, National Cadets Corps, or higher level to be treated as given below-
(a) “C” certificate with Grading "A"
"C" certificate with Grading “B”
(b) “B" certificate with Grading "A"
"B" certificate with Grading “B"
(c) "A" certificate with Grading “A"
"A" certificate with Grading "B"
(d) Applicants will be asked to submit the documents of the attendance if any.

Assam PAT 2023 Admit Card
Authority has released the Assam PAT 2023 Admit Card/Hall Ticket on the official website.
The candidate has to log in to the account on the official website to use their „Application Number‟ & their „Date of Birth
Candidate has to download their Admit Card.
Candidates' Admit Card/Hall Ticket will be generated. The applicant can then take the Print out of their admission test ticket.
Assam PAT 2023 Exam Center

Assam Polytechnic PAT 2023 Result will be made available on the official website in the form of a merit list. Applicants can check their rank and score from the list with the help of entering their registration number and roll number. After the successful result of Assam Pat 2023. Candidates can get admission into various polytechnic colleges or institutions situated in the state of Assam. Below are the steps for checking the Assam PAT Result 2023.

For PAT 2023
If there will be a tie in PAT marks, then marks of Science and Mathematics of the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration to decide the merit of the candidates
If there will be a tie again, then the aggregate marks of the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration to decide the merit of the candidate.
If again, there will be a tie, then the merit of the candidate will be decided by lottery by the Chairperson of the Selection Committee. The decision of the Selection Committees will be final.
For Sports Quota
If there will be a tie, prizes are equal [Gold/Silver/Bronze] obtained by any applicant then merit will be
decided by considering the marks obtained at the PAT-2023.
Even if there will be a tie then Science & Mathematics Marks obtained at the qualifying examination will be considered to decide the merit of a candidate.
Again if there will be a tie, then through a lottery conducted by the Chairperson of the Selection Committee.
For NCC Quota
If the number of applicants applying against the N.C.C. quota and their certificates are of equal
grade, then the merit will be decided by considering the marks obtained at the PAT-2023.
Even if there will be a tie then Science & Mathematics Marks obtained at the qualifying examination will be considered to decide the merit of a candidate.
Again if there will be a tie, then through a lottery conducted by the Chairperson of the Selection Committee.
Assam PAT 2023 Counselling
An Interview will be held centrally to select the applicant provisionally for admission into the Polytechnics of Assam and counselling thereby (PAT). The date and venue of which will be published along with the result of the PAT. Given below are the details about Assam PAT Counselling 2023:The choice of Polytechnic and branch of Engineering of a candidate can be determined based on the merit of the admission test at the time of the interview.
The candidate can not undertake any other course of study once admitted to a Polytechnic.
Documents to be submitted during PAT Admission Counselling
The candidate is required to carry the given-below documents during Assam Polytechnic Admission Test 2023 Counselling:
Photocopies of mark sheets of qualifying examinations passed.
Age proof( photocopy of Admit Card or Certificate of the Board/University)
Character certificate from the top of the establishment last attended.
GAP certificate
Caste certificate, if belonging to SC/ST from the competent authority countersigned by
DC/ADC/SDO (Civil).
OBC/ MOBC/Tea-Garden/Ex-Tea Garden Labour Community Certificate may be obtained from the competent authority countersigned by DC/ADC/SDO (Civil) alongside the Non-Creamy Layer.
Certificate from the Deputy Commissioner of the respective District.
The aspirant applying for seats beneath the Moran community quota should turn out a certificate from Assam Moran Sabha with the signature of DC/ADC/SDO (Civil) of the concerned District along with the Non-Creamy Layer Certificate from the Deputy Commissioner of the various District.
Certificate from Director of Sports, Assam, and proof of representing State if applied against Sport and NCC quota.
Reserved seats against the rebel class category (both Paternal & Maternal).
(a) Certificate from the Secretary, Home & Political Department to the Govt. of Assam.
(b) A direct relationship certificate of the candidate with the freedom fighter from the Deputy
Commissioner or his authorized official of the district where the freedom fighter belongs if applied against the category of Freedom Fighter.
Certificate from the Director, Rajyiik Sainik Board, Assam if applied against the category of retired defence personnel.
Certificate from the employer, if applied against the quota of Central Government Employees etc.
For Differently Abled Candidates: Card as Differently-Abled issued by Welfare.
Department must be produced. Minimum disability 40% and not exceeding 80%.
Certificate from the concerned DC/ ADC / SDO of the concerned district if aspirant can not produce a PRC at the time of Counselling. However, PRC will have to be furnished at the time of final admission.

About Directorate of Technical Education, Assam
Technical Education in Assam started with the establishment of the Prince of Wales Institute of Engineering & Technology at Jorhat before independence in 1927. The establishment of the Assam Engineering Institute and later establishment of Assam Engineering College was the beginning of Technical Education in the State of Assam. It has been a long journey of evolution of State technical Education in the State of Assam. Directorate of Technical Education, Assam was established in 1960. Now there is 5 Govt. Engineering Colleges and 21 Polytechnic Institutions under this Directorate. On the Technical Education front, there has been phenomenal growth in the recent past. The first Engineering College – Assam Engineering College was established in 1956 at Guwahati and the first Diploma Institution. Assam Textile Institution was established in 1920 at Guwahati.
